Bernard C Delehant Jr. “Bernie” passed away on December 8, 2025 at home in Independence, MO. He was born on June 7, 1939 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Bernard C. Delehant and Margaret A. Delehant. He grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. He graduated from Cathedral High School in Omaha, Nebraska.

He began work for Allis Chalmers as a welder  where he worked for 28 years. He also worked at Harry S. Truman Library and Museum for 25 years. He was involved in Fraternal Order of Eagles 3717.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bernard C. Delehant Sr and Margaret A Delehant; wife Kat Delehant; siblings Joan Hess, Loretta Rader, Mike Delehant, Greg Delehant, and Gary Delehant.

He is survived by his siblings Kay Kramer ( Larry), Pat Delehant (Kathy); children Richard Delehant (Kathy), Patty Clark (Darryl), Peggy Rohleder, Cyndi Wilson (Darrell Smith), Jean Ruckdeschell (Kevin), and Bob Delehant (Tracy Sisney); 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
