It is with heavy hearts, the family announce the passing of Charles Lee Pargen, of Kansas City, MO, age 82, on December 9, 2025.
Charles Lee Pargen was born on August 9, 1943 in Kansas City, Kansas, to Loren and Geraldine Pargen. He was the first of their three children, followed by his sister, Paula, and brother, Richard. He grew up and spent his formative years in Raytown, Missouri.
In 1964, at the age of 21, Charles proudly joined the United States Army and served his country with honor. Following his military service, he pursued a career as a mechanical engineer, reflecting his strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.
With determination and the support of his loved ones, Charles faced and repeatedly overcame many battles with cancer, numerous surgeries, and multiple health scares throughout his life. After a final decline in his health, he passed away peacefully on December 9th, 2025.
Charles is survived by his sister, Paula Hamblin, his wife, Donna Pargen, their son, Ian Pargen, step-son, Jeremy Kile, and step-daughter, Jessica Moore. He is further survived by his daughter Kelly Money, of his former wife, Judy. In addition, Charles leaves behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Loren and Geraldine Pargen, his brother, Richard Pargen, and son, Michael Pargen.
Charles will be remembered for his resilience and strength, as well as his service to his country. He was fiercely loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
