Ella Louise Long, 86, of Independence Missouri, passed away on October 30, 2024. Ella was born on July 29,1938, to George Carpenter and Pearl Guss Carpenter. Ella was the 9th of 10 Children.

Ella married Harold Richard Long on October 20, 1954, in Mulberry, Kansas, They moved to Independence Missouri around 1956 and had 2 children.

Ella retired from the Social Security Administration.
Ella loved to work puzzles,word search books,reading, playing games, and cook. She loved Coca-Cola, Divinity, and hard candies. Her favorite scripture was the 23rd Psalms. She liked to travel to Oklahoma City and Liberal Missouri. She was a very honest Christian woman, and a devoted wife and mother and grandmother.

Those left to treasure Ella’s memory include, one brother George Carpenter of Oklahoma City,OK, her daughter Cynthia L. Miller of Kansas City, Mo and her son Richard A. Long (Cheryl) of Independence, Mo, 4 grandchildren Doug and Amy (Cynthia) and Mystie and Erica (Richard), 12 Great Grandchildren,and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.

Ella is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, and 8 Siblings.
