Glynn Carter, 50, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on March 17, 2026, at Truman Medical Center. He was born on July 3, 1975, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Wilbur Andrew Carter Sr. and Willeta Irene Fitzpatrick.
Glynn was raised in Kansas City, where he attended Westport High School. He went on to build a career in the food service industry, working for many years as a dedicated cook in numerous restaurants, clubs, and bars throughout the area. Known for his strong work ethic and passion for cooking, Glynn took pride in serving others and sharing his talents with those around him.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Mattic.
Glynn leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents, Willeta Fitzpatrick and Wilbur Carter Sr.; his children, Kryshawnda Mason-Carter, LaKaya Roberts-Carter, and La’Darion Roberts-Carter; his cherished granddaughter, Jailani Phorns; his sisters, Reina Mattic and Angela Gill; his brothers, Maurice Mattic and Wilbur Carter Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will deeply miss him.
Glynn will be remembered for his resilience, his dedication to his craft, and the love he had for his family. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
