Jamie Cohen, 54, passed away peacefully at home on September 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Jamie was born on January 1, 1972, in Kern County, California.

 She made Missouri her home for more than 30 years, spending much of that time in Bethany, Missouri, a place she proudly called home. 

Jamie was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and devoted animal lover. Dogs held a particularly special place in her heart. She was a hippie at heart who loved the water, her family, and the simple things that made life meaningful. 

Jamie worked as a dog groomer for many years, a job she truly loved, and she was also an ordained minister. Jamie was preceded in death by her mother, her husband, her grandparents, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

She leaves behind her two children, Elizabeth Williams (Leroy Tolston) of Independence, Missouri, and Nathan Cohen of Maryland; six grandchildren, James Tolston, Tatyana Tolston, Royce Tolston, Michael Tolston, Kenzley Tolston, and Izabella Tolston; and one great-grandson, Royal Tolston, all ofIndependence, Missouri.

She is also survived by her siblings, Jesse Wills of Trenton, Missouri; Joni Owens of Hamilton, Missouri; and James Williams of Minnesota, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and, of course, the animals she loved so dearly. Jamie will be remembered for her free spirit, her love of animals, her love of the water, and most of all, the love she had for her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her. No formal service will be held.
