Lance Albert
Reynolds
April 25, 1974 – March 16, 2026
Lance Albert Reynolds, a man whose heart was as big as the music he loved, passed away peacefully in his home in Kansas City, Missouri, on March 16, 2026. Born on April 25, 1974, to the union of Brenda and John Reynolds, Lance was a graduate of Hickman Mills High School. He spent many years dedicated to the service of others through his time employed at Henry Industries, medicine reached pharmacies, hospitals, and nursing homes across the region. Later in life, Lance leaned into his entrepreneurial spirit, building a successful track in lawn care, home improvements, and car sales.
Lance’s "cup was filled" by the simple joys of life: the smoke of a grill in the summer, traveling to new places, and the rhythm of the music he created and cherished. Whether he was debating the latest football game with his son, LJ, or exploring a new genre of music, Lance brought passion to everything he touched. From his early childhood, Lance had an innate love for children. While he was a devoted father to his two sons, Lance Jr. (LJ) and Key'Air; his capacity for fatherhood knew no bounds. During his marriage to Angelina Wilborn, he loved her children with the same depth and devotion as his own. Beyond his biological and step-children, Lance’s legacy is defined by the many young people he took under his wing; he identified them as his own, and they, in turn, truly identified him as their father.
Lance enters into eternal rest preceded by his maternal grandparents, Grady and Violet McGee, as well as his paternal grandparents,John and Velma Reynolds.
His memory will be forever cherished by his loving mother, Brenda Reynolds, and his father, John Reynolds. He leaves behind his children, Lance Jr. and Key-Air; his brothers, James McGee (Lisa Stephenson), John Reynolds Jr., Eric Reynolds and Brian Reynolds (Arvetta Tucker); and his sister, Mandy Reynolds. His presence will be deeply missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and the many children he raised and mentored as his own.
