Latanya Marie Baker, 52 was born
August 11 ,1972 to the Union of Brenda and Henry Thomas in Kansas City, Missouri.

Latanya, lifelong area resident and was educated in the Kansas City, school district. She was a nurse for over ten plus years and she enjoyed taking care of her patients as if they were her own.

LaTanya was a faithful member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God, under the leadership of Rev. Vincent Frasers.

LaTanya departed this life on July 16, 2025. Her parents, Brenda and Henry Thomas, sister Lamika Rochelle Fisher, and brother Eugene Pettiford (Gene) all preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Jonathan Baker Sr; her loving children, a daughter; Jonae Baker, three sons; Mark (Fonda) Murray, Jonathan Baker, Markivius Woods, one sister; Cassandra
(David) Turner, one brother; Kevin Wood, sister/bestfriend; Lashounda Goodspeed, Katina Quarles, and Camela Jackson (Cam) all of Kansas City, Mo. A host of nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles, and other relatives and friends.
