Ms. Latoya Renee Washington 39, was born September 11, 1984 in St. Louis, Missouri to Anthony Terrell Washington Sr., and Angela Adams. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Alfred Lee Washington and Elaine Washington; maternal grandparents Otis Adams and Lauren Adams; brother Damien Adams. Latoya had a very strong belief in God. She attended Solomon Temple as a child and sang in the church choir. After relocating to Kansas City, Missouri she attended the Life Church where she was baptized and received the lord as her Christ and Savior. Latoya lived in the St. Louis area most of her life. She graduated from Ritenour High School. Shortly after Toya married her first love, Tony Stokes. Who enlisted in the United States Military (Navy), which allowed them both to travel the world. Later they relocated to Kansas City, Missouri where Latoya continued her education attending Concorde Career College. She obtained her Medical Aide License, then worked in the medical field. Latoya adored spending time with her children, especially game nights. As well as time with her family and friends. She had a huge heart for all people. She would brighten the room with her singing and shining personality. She also loved music and cooking. Latoya departed this life on January 18, 2024. Latoya will be lovingly missed by her four daughters Jamonie Stokes, Precious Stokes, Madison Stokes, and Nya Atkins (Twin), one son, Nasir Atkins (Twin); two sisters, Jessica Thomas, Shalonda Hibler (St. Louis, MO); four brothers, Deion L. Brown, Glen Hamilton, Devonte L. Washingron, Anthony Washington; one nephew, Jeremiah Brown; bestfriend, Jessica (Lay); and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends. She will be sadly missed.
