IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mickey Jean
O'Rourke
June 8, 1949 – March 18, 2023
Mickey Jean O'Rourke, 73, of Kansas City Missouri, went to be an angel with God on March 18th, 2023. She was born June 8th, 1949 to Betty Jean Culver and Douglas Pease.
Mickey was a loving, selfless, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her two children, Elizabeth and Christopher and her three grandchildren Lea, Delaney and Dylan.
Mickey went through hard stuff as a kid that no kid should have to, but she just kept going and it made her stronger. As a young adult she was hurt and went through things that would break most people, but she prevailed and was stronger than ever. Mick married Walter , the father of her children, and she made it a point that they do family outings and do things as a family. She wanted her children to have a solid family life. Even if she was sick or her asthma would act up, she always played with her kids or took them out.
As her kids got older, she worked 2 to 3 jobs to make sure her kids were taken care of. After her kids were out if the house she went to school and became a licensed massage therapist.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She would do anything for them. She would always put her kids and grandkids first, even strangers and herself last. She would give her last dollar to help. Mickey was selfless, loving, caring, forgiving, and never held a grudge. Family was important to her.
Mickey's passing will forever leave an unfillable hole in her children, grandchildren, and anyone she has touched and knew her. She always smiled, made you smile, even when you were down. She will be missed.
