Obituary

Monica Yvette Logan was born to the late Daniel Bates Sr. and Lela Jean Logan Bettis on January 27th, 1963, in Scranton Arkansas. She departed this earthly life on Thursday April 2nd, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Robinson, father Daniel Bates Sr., mother Lela Jean Logan Bettis, brother Bruce Hodge, stepfather Howard Bettis Sr, nephews Desmond Jenkins, Victor Roseberry Jrand Monrico Roseberry. She grew up in Kansas City Missouri. She graduated from Westport High School and after completing high school she attended Penn Valley Community College where she earned her associate's degree in business.

Monica was the first to break the color barrier in Scranton Arkansas during integration. Monica went to work for Wonder Bread Bakery as a production manager in 1999 for 10 years, upon Leaving Wonder bread she then worked for Tyson in production until she retired.

Monica was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin whose warmth and devotion touched everyone around her. She cherished her daughter and sons' special bond that was a joy. She enjoyed taking trips with her daughter and found happiness in caring for her son and being able to be present and support her children in any way she could. The greatest joy of Monica's life was taking care of her grandchildren and spending time with them and always there to celebrate their milestones. Tinafound peace outdoors on the front porch greeting neighbors, family, friends and spending time.

She loved the country, especially the place where her father was from, she would always make sure to visit him no matter what.

Monica's beautiful smile and presence will dearly be missed, but her spirits will live on in the hearts of her loved ones, and everyone she encountered with.

She leaves to cherish her memories daughter Lela Shaw, son Carl Shaw Jr, grandchildren, Malachi Shaw, LaSalle Bradley, Lennix Bradley, brother Howard Bettis Jr, Daniel Bates Jr, aunts Christina Hawkins, Mary Ellingburg, Mary Thomas, nieces, Skye Bettis, Erica Jenkins, Risa Dockery, Ramzi Dockery, Victoria Roseberry, nephew Daniel Johnson Jr. and a host of cousins, family and friends.
