Patricia Ann Lewis (née Wessley) age 77, of Arma, Kansas passed away peacefully on November
14, 2025, at her sister’s home in Grain Valley, Missouri.

Born on July 22, 1948, to Louis H. Wessley and Wilda J. Falls, in Kansas City, Missouri. Known
affectionately as Patty, she spent her early years in Kansas City, Missouri area until moving to
Arma, Kansas in 1993.

Patty began her professional journey as a secretary, where she worked diligently for several
years. Her dedication and attention to detail served her well in this role. After her second
marriage to Jerry W. Lewis Sr. in 1980, she chose to retire early and focus on the home and
children, a role she embraced wholeheartedly.
Family was central to Patty’s life.

She is lovingly remembered by her son Jeff Carpenter and his
wife Lesley of Independence, Missouri; her step-daughter Valeria Brady and her husband Todd
of Georgia; and her step-son Jerry W. Lewis Jr. of Illinois. She also leaves behind her sister
Jeannie Thomas and husband Joe of Grain Valley, Missouri. Patty was a proud grandmother to
seven grandchildren and delighted in the joy brought to her by her three great-grandchildren.
Patty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry W. Lewis Sr., as well as by her
parents.

Patty found joy in simple pleasures. She also loved travel, bingo, and visiting casinos, where she
enjoyed the thrill and excitement of the game. Above all else, Patty cherished the companionship
of her dogs, who were a constant source of comfort and happiness throughout her life.

May Patricia’s memory bring peace and comfort to those who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on December 6, 2025, at New Life Baptist Church 102 S Hwy
69, Franklin, Kansas 66735.
Graveside services will be held at a later date to be determined, at Old Arcadia Cemetery
