IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Paul Arthur
Datschefski
February 24, 1984 – August 19, 2024
Paul Arthur Datschefski, 40, of Independence, MO, passed away on August 19, 2024. He was born on February 24, 1984, to John and Linda Datschefski. He was the 2nd of 4 children and their eldest son.
Paul was born in Naperville, IL, and lived in Bolingbrook, IL, until 1999, when the family moved to Independence, MO. He met Aleshia Cort in 2005 and they married on May 13, 2006. In April 2017, they welcomed their first daughter, Ella. June 2020 brought their second daughter, Rosie. Their family became complete in November 2022, when their only son, Jasper, was born.
Paul graduated from William Chrisman High School in Independence in 2002. From there, he worked a variety of jobs. He hung billboards. He was a manager at Taco Bell. He worked in tech support. He and Aleshia worked together at a few different jobs when they were first married. His final job was working with one of his best friends at their roofing company. Any job Paul had, he excelled in.
Paul loved playing video games with family and friends, particularly Legend of Zelda, World of Warcraft, and League of Legends. He enjoyed listening to hard rock music, like Metallica, Creed, and Alterbridge, and going to concerts and RockFest. He loved going on cruises with Aleshia, the lake with friends, and family vacations to Omaha and St. Louis. He loved being a dad and snuggling his children. Most often, you could find him at home, working on a home improvement project or assembling a new toy for the kids.
Those left to treasure Paul’s memory include his mother, Linda; his wife, Aleshia; his children, Ella, Rosie, and Jasper; his siblings, Sarah, Kayla, and Tyler, and their spouses; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, and scores of friends and co-workers.
Paul was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, John, in 2016.
