Richard Dale Hixon, 70, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on May 12, 2026, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on January 9, 1956, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Willard Dale Hixon and Claire Alice Hixon. Richard was raised in Kansas City, where he spent much of his life surrounded by family and friends.

Richard began his working career at Cook’s Paint, where he worked as a paint mixer for three years. He was known by those close to him as a hardworking man who valued family above all else.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Claire Hixon; his brothers, Ronnie and Billy Hixon; and his sister, Nancy Hixon.

Richard leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Sara Jack of Blue Springs, Missouri; his sons, Brandon Hixon of St. Louis, Missouri, and Jesse Hixon of Independence, Missouri; his brothers, Charlie Hixon of Independence, Missouri, Michael Hixon of Blue Springs, Missouri, Ray Hixon and Donald Hixon of Olathe, Kansas, and David Hixon of El Dorado Springs, Missouri; and his sisters, Rita Jimerson of Olathe, Kansas, Helen McKay of Harrisonville, Missouri, Sandy Hixon of Independence, Missouri, and Mary Beck of Joplin, Missouri. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives and friends who will deeply miss him.
