Teresa A.
Hopkins
May 5, 1949 – March 27, 2026
Teresa Alleane Hopkins, age 76, born in Kansas City, Missouri on May 5, 1949, was called home on March 27th, surrounded by her entire family at North Care Hospice House to be with the Lord, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering faith, deep love, and devoted service that will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She was born to Robert and Dolores Hopkins, who preceded her in death, along with her beloved aunt Jean and cousin Rhonda Jelks. Teresa’s life was a beautiful reflection of grace, resilience, and steadfast faith in God—faith that carried her through every season of her life.
Teresa graduated from Manual High School, where she was actively involved in cheerleading and dancing. Her vibrant spirit and love for life were evident from an early age and remained a constant throughout her journey. She found joy in dancing and singing, often expressing her love for life through music, art, and movement. She also had a passion for cooking, nurturing others, and dedicating her time to childcare and early education—touching countless lives with her warmth, wisdom, and care.
Above all, Teresa treasured her role as a mother. She was a loving and devoted mother to her six children: Eric L. Hopkins, Nicole Paul (Donald), Adrianne Hopkins, Monique Jackson, Michael Hopkins (Christina), and Melissa Hopkins. She poured into her family with unconditional love, patience, and strength, building a foundation rooted in faith, unity, and love.
Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren—Corey, Sean, Sad'e, Atreyu, Ontarrio, Kemoni, Javen, Michael, Symphony Hopkins, Chuansae, and Breanna—and her beloved great-grandchildren—Lyric, Melody, Corey Jr., Tremell, Zorah, Kaiden, Aa'ri Frye, Kenneth Jr., Ny'Eyra (Kenneth), Yah’Keim, Yah’Heim Simmons, Ma’karri Reed, Hezekiah Hopkins, Chauansae and Thea Paul. Each carries forward a piece of her spirit, her love, and her light.
