Thurston K. Monroe departed this life on February 25th 2025 in Kansas City, Mo.
He was born on February 22nd 1958 to the union of Thurston and Esther Monroe in Seaside California.

Being the son of a Military Serviceman his family travel and lived in several States across the U.S. and overseas. After the death of his father, his family moved to Kansas City and made this their Hometown.

Thurston accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

After high school Thurston (AKA) "Keith" to family and friends worked several Jobs as a cook, eventually working for General Motors Assembly Plant. After a layoff with G.M. he moved to Alaska in 1979 where he made a home for thirty years becoming a Chef for a 5 Star Restaurant.

In 2008 he moved back to Kansas City and was employed with McCormick & Schmick Restaurant on the Country Club Plaza from 2010 until his health enabled him to continue working upon retiring he spent a majority of his time caring for his mother.

He was preceded in death by his father, sister, brother and nephew.

He leaves to cherish his memories his Mother Esther Monroe, Wife Carlet, Daughter Toneshia, Son Terald, Step Daughter Raven Starr (Cedric Jr, Khavien), Brothers Ronald "Wayne", Jeffrey "Lynn", grandchildren Leonard and Chyna. A loving aunt Ivo Foster. Special Friend Reggie Donald and a host of family and friends.
