Brother Todd Anthony Wilson, a beloved father, brother, uncle, son, and friend fell asleep in death on Monday, February 20, 2023, at the age of 59. He was born to Rose Wilson Hollins and John Wilson Jr. on December 16, 1963, in Kansas City, Missouri.
Growing up in Kansas City and attending KCMO public schools, Todd was well known throughout the metropolitan area. He met Mary Sublett in 1994, and they had one daughter, Tyler A. Wilson. Todd was affectionately known for his unique wardrobe and sense of style, contagious smile, and his love for children and those close to him. He loved to play baseball and shoot pool and enjoyed music and two-stepping.
They who know the Lord shall renew their strength. Todd knew the Lord and accepted him as his savior when he joined the Macedonia Baptist Church. He was employed at Supply’s Inc in KCMO at the time of his death.
Todd leaves many loved ones to cherish his memory: adored daughter, Tyler A. Wilson, and grandson, Taiji Ali Boga, KCMO; mother, Rose Wilson Hollins (Charles), Raytown, MO; brother, Tyrone A. Jones (Sandra), Grandview, MO; sister, Angela A. Lewis (Willie), KCMO; brother, Ricardo A. Jones, St. Paul, MN; aunt, Bernetta Robinson, KCMO; uncles Robert Jones (Joann), KCMO; James Wilson, KCMO; Lee Anthony Parson (Watsonville, CA); beloved niece Keena A. McAfee and her family, and cousin Michael Parson, KCMO; two stepbrothers and two stepsisters; 36 nieces and nephews; and a host of many other relatives and friends.
Todd is preceded in death by his father, John Wilson Jr., and stepmother, Cheryl Wilson; brother, Rahmon Ali Wilson; maternal grandparents, Sam Jones, and Rose Ella Parson; paternal grandparents, John Wilson Sr., and Willia Mae Knight; aunt, Barbara Parson; uncles, Roy Wilson, Robert Lee Wilson, R. L. Jones, and Bernard Parson; nephews, Roosevelt Williamson, and Marcus D. Champion; and cousins, Phillon Parson and Cerome C. Wilson.
