IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tyrese J
Lawrence
August 21, 2005 – March 26, 2025
On this beautiful hot sunny day of August 21st 2005 during a family birthday celebration, Ronnie Lawrence and Helen Lawrence were blessed with a beautiful baby boy Tyrese Jermaine Lawrence came into the world surprisingly fast kicking and screaming.
Tyrese grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended Dale M. Thompson, Trail West School and was set to graduate this year from Southeast High School. Tyrese also attended Step Up For Down Syndrome every year at the Arrowhead Stadium sponsored by The Kansas City Chiefs.
Even though Tyrese was on the spectrum, the family treated him normally. Tyrese attended barbecues, birthday parties and various functions.
Tyrese loved to go to the park and play on the swings and would interact with other children. Tyrese also loved puzzles, bouncy houses and food.
Tyrese loved bouncy houses so much that he would just sit in the middle while the other children were bouncing, we would have to send one of the men to get him out. And food. Tyrese could put some food away.
Tyrese could not communicate but he would let you know if he did not want to be bothered by ignoring you. The he would grab his security blanket. And if you kept bothering him he would roll his eyes, push you away and make some sort of sound. But when Tyrese was happy he would play with you and laugh at you. Tyrese fought a good fight throughout his life.
Sadly Tyrese unexpectedly departed this life on March 26, 2025 at University Health in Kansas City Missouri. He was preceded into death by his father Ronnie Lawrence, grandmother May Fields and grandfather Willie Clyde Channel.
He is survived by his mother Helen Lawrence, aunts Melody Channel, Jacqueline Gordon, uncles Brian Channel, Alfred Hughes, Howard Hughes (Carolyn), Gary Fields, William Fields (DaMetra Fields, Edmund and Maria Fields.
