WANSOLO BERNARD HUGHLEY, also known as WANS or WINSOLO, was born on July 20, 1963, to Lorease Hughley Lowery and Edward Charles Woodard in Shreveport, Louisiana. He passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025.

WANSOLO graduated from Central High School in 1981 and served in the United States Navy for several years. After his military service, he returned to the Kansas City area, where he worked in contract maintenance and was self-employed for many years. He greatly impacted the lives of children but never married or had biological children of his own.

WANSOLO was preceded in death by his mother, father, and brothers Hubert Bell and Adrian Ray Bell. He is survived by his siblings: sister  Marlon Thatcher-Hudson, brothers Darrell (Earlyne) Hill, Ronald (Red) Hughley, Jeffrey (J) Hughley Sr., and Wyren (Doc) Hughley, along with his stepfather Larnell Lowery and half-siblings Darnell, David, Marlon, Nerissa, and Reecie Lowery. He also leaves behind many uncles, aunts, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friend, as well as former colleagues and friends who will cherish his memory.
