Keith Hampton Obituary

Keith Hampton Jr., 43, of Grandview, MO, passed away, after a lifelong struggle with kidney failure, on Friday, February 25, 2022. He was born November 30, 1978 in Chicago, IL, to Keith and Patricia (Lorraine) Kelly.

He began his education at Cameron Elementary in Chicago, IL.  After his family decided to move to Kansas City, MO., Keith met the love of his life, Carletta Spencerin 1995. He attended Hickman Mills High School and graduated earning his high school Diploma in 1998.  In 1999, Keith and Carletta married and shared over 22 years happily raising their nine children together. He went on to study Architectural Cad Drafting at Vatterott College.  After graduating with an Associates Degree in 2005, Keith began his career at Russco Custom Fabrications Inc. as an Architectural Cad Designer.

Keith loved joking around, playing video games with his children, nieces and nephews and playing cards, dominoes, monopoly with family in his spare time.  Drawing and music was his passion and he also enjoyed cooking.  Keith’s favorite sport was basketball and his favorite team was the Chicago Bulls. His favorite color was red.  Keith was a strong, hard working, husband and father, and was always faithful and dedicated.  He loved the Most High God who was first in his life.  No matter the obstacles, he always persevered and stood firm on the truth.

After serious consideration, Keith decided to remain on Dialysis.  Despite his fragile health, Keith remained upbeat, happy, engaged, present, and active in his children’s lives and activities. He was dedicated to being there for his wife and all of his children.

Keith was a loving, wonderfully supportive husband, father, brother, son, nephew, cousin, grandson and friend, to all who knew him. He truly cherished all the time he was blessed to have with the entire family, especially with his children, who were more important to him than anything, down here on earth.
