Lana Laverne Robinson

Lana Laverne Robinson was born in Paola, KS. On March 6, 1951, to Samuel Dillard Jr. and Ethelene Mayo Brown Dillard, who proceeded her in death. 

Lana was raised in Paola, KS and graduated from Paola High School. She later moved to Olathe, KS and married Dale M. Robinson on March 27, 1971. She was employed at BE Aerospace for 47 years. During that time, she also attended Superior Schooling of Hairstyling in the 1980’s, while working and obtaining her cosmetology license. She then opened Robinson’s Hair Salon where she enjoyed hairstyling and fellowship with family and friends. She retired from BE Aerospace in 2021. 

Lana was a long-time member of Second Baptist Church of Olathe, where the culinary arts department brought her much joy. She was known for her cooking, her beautiful smile and kind gestures to all. She loved working in her yard and garden, as well as decorating her home. She really loved family time, especially with her husband, children and grandson (Her Angel Boy). All in all, she was an amazing, fun, and sweet person to be around. 

Lana Laverne Robinson passed away peacefully at Menorah Medical Center on June 23, 2022. 

Lana is preceded into death by six brothers Arnold Dillard (who died at birth), Doug, Harold, John, Van Lynn, and Samuel III Dillard, two sisters Beverly Lewis and Kathy Dillard. 

She leaves to cherish her memories, husband of 51 years, Dale M. Robinson; one son, Ryan J. Robinson (Teresa); one daughter Samantha R. Robinson; one very special grandson, Barack Bennett-Robinson, three brothers Richard Dillard (Aggie), Max Dillard, Paul Dillard; two sisters, Nina White, Doris Bolton (Arthur) and aa host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
