Roosevelt Duncan Obituary

Roosevelt Donald Duncan,age 57 was born April 16th,1964 in Kansas City, Missouri to the union of George D. Duncan Sr. and Beaulah M. (McDonald) Duncan. Roosevelt was preceded in death by both parents, sisters Mildrew Brown-Wafer, and Gloria Burton, brothers, James E. Duncan, Nathaniel Black Sr., and Williams Black Jr.

 

Roosevelt accepted Christ at an early age. He also renewed his faith as an adult ( New Covenant ). Never losing faith nor sight of whom God is, he was a baptized believer. Many can recall him saying "Pick up a bible, many will flee!" He graduated a " Mighty Blue Eagle" Central c/o 1982. 

 

Roosevelt attended trade school, and joined Operating Engineers Local #101.  He was a proud member of Cole - Finch Masonic Lodge #186. He worked as an Operator Engineer with his local union for 25 + years, Conagra Foods, IRS,  Social Security Administration, and a Real Estate Consultant. 

 

Roosevelt was a great friend to many. When socializing with him, no one was a stranger. He made every one he came in contact with feel special. He had several special nieces and nephews, he played a very important role as an uncle. Roosevelt loved the children in his neighborhood, always giving them funds to buy snacks, to assure they didn't go hungry. He was known as "The Preacher". Because he always gave sound advice with a stern tone.

 

Roosevelt loved to cook and compare his dishes. He loved a neat and clean environment. Telling jokes that brought you to tears. He loved traveling to meet family, and long phone calls with everyone. Along the way he found a friend that became his son (Blue). He loved to brag about Blue's accomplishments, and the type of work he did around the country. Roosevelt enjoyed the warm months hanging out on 31st. with "Brother Reg",Troy, and others. 

 

Roosevelt leaves to cherish his memories; brothers Leon Pierceson of Seattle, WA., George Duncan Jr. of Kansas City, MO, Samuel Duncan of Little Rock,ARK, Gregory Williams(Vater) of Grand Prairie,TX, Steven Williams of Kansas City, MO, Micheal Duncan (Terrie) of Seattle, WA, and Bennie Duncan(Cassandra)of Kansas City, MO. 

 

Sisters; Gearldine Duncan of Seattle,WA, Mereline Duncan of Kansas City, MO, Sharlene Duncan-Burris(Alphonso)of Kansas City, MO, Lauraqueta Collins of Kansas City, MO,and Monica Jones of Kansas City, MO. 

Fiancée K. Earl of Kansas City, MO. A host of nephews, nieces, and family and friends.
