Life’s Reflections
Tyrone Brown, 66, of Kansas City, MO, passed away, at home, on Friday, February 18, 2022. Tyrone was born in Los Angeles, CA, to Willie Orange Brown and Wanda Mae Hall, on February 21, 1955. He was the of five siblings, though the only boy.
After graduating high school, Tyrone moved to Kansas City, and spent the rest of his life here. It was here, he met Mary Ann Williams, and the two were married on February 14, 2002.
Tyrone had been a member of the Ephesus Seventh-Day Adventist Church, since childhood, and had a strong faith and love of Jesus.
Tyrone was a jokester, always playing pranks on those he loved, especially his wife, Mary Ann, from whom he would often hide, waiting behind a door or furniture, to jump out and surprise her, when she came home from work each day. He also loved to cook, and to know him, was to love his cooking! Tyrone thoroughly enjoyed, and was more than willing to, sharing his gift with anyone.
He enjoyed playing basketball, in his younger days, and also attended USC for a short time, becoming a proud member of their horseback riding team.
Tyrone was a loving, wonderfully supportive husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, to all who knew him.
He truly cherished all the time he was blessed to have with the entire family, especially with his grandchildren, who were more important to him than anything.
Left to cherish Tyrone’s memory are his devoted wife, Mary Ann, of the home; children, Connie Brown, Lanisha Brown,Tanesha Brown, and Shantay Brown; step-children, Bridgette Williams and Ila Eaves; grandchildren, Marcus and Malani; step-grandchildren, Juran’s, Marvin, Marcelos, Destiny, Dir’Rashua, Darion, Zahria, Promise, A’jha, Tru, Nahzir, Iyani, Diamond, DeAndre, Russell, and Ramia; step-great-grandchildren, Nyadi, Brooklyn, Bryson, Nova, Messiah, Makayla, LilDre, DreShawn, I’sland, Mianna ,Cadence, and MiAire; 11 brothers, Keith Freeman, Toni Freeman, Gino Freeman, Markese Freeman, Kim Brown, Mark Jackson, Corey Jackson, Dennis Jackson, Cassanova Jackson, Nakia Jackson, and Kenyatta Jackson; 6 sisters, Franchester Brown, Tysine Brown, Mona Freeman-LaBerry, Carmelita Freeman, La Wanda Freeman, and Shani Jackson; a host of nieces and nephews; along with great-nieces and great-nephews; uncles; aunties; and cousins.
